MacOSX Software
- All the following applications have been tested under MacOSX (10.4) - Tiger (Intel).
- At present USQ does not support Leopard applications. If you are running Leopard, you may need to access the web sites for these applications and download the appropriate Leopard version.
- Note: only universal or Intel applications have been included on this DVD. If you have a POWERPC you should check the web sites for versions suitable for your architecture.
R
R is `GNU S', a freely available language and environment for statistical computing and graphics which provides a wide variety of statistical and graphical techniques: linear and nonlinear modelling, statistical tests, time series analysis, classification, clustering, etc. The file R-2.6.1.dmg contains the basic R distribution for MacOSX.

Scilab is a powerful MatLab clone. The file Scilab-4.1-10.4-Intel.zip is contains the basic SciLab distribution for MacOSX.

XAMPP is a very easy to install Apache Distribution for MacOSX. The package includes the Apache web server, MySQL, PHP, Perl, a FTP server and phpMyAdmin. The file xampp-macosx-0.7.1.dmg contains the MacOSX distribution.

MacTeX.dmg is an install package for Apple's installer. The package contains the complete TeX Live 2007 distribution of TeX, Ghostscript, ImageMagick, and the following front end programs : TeXShop, LaTeXiT, BibDesk, Excalibur, and i-Installer. A custom install option allows users to bypass some of these packages if desired.
