The data give the fracture stress from a double torsion test
on specimens of tungsten carbide 6% cobalt alloy with a ground surface finish.
There are 60 observations on two variables.
Variables:
FractureStress
The fracture stress (in MNm-2)
StressRate
The stress placed on the sample (in Mnm-2s-1)
Data Quality:
There are no missing values.

Notes:
Green (1984) notes that the model generally used to model such data
regresses the log of the response (FractureStress)
onto the log of the predictor,
the classic Weibull model for distribution of brittle strength.
